Swim, Mary Josephine (1858 - 1937)
Mrs. Charles Swim, died of plural pneumonia at the home of her grand daughter, Mrs. A. Kubera, here on Saturday, April 3rd, aged 78 years, 8 months and 23 days.
Mary Josephine Swim was born at Granville, Wis., on July 10, 1858. On July 14, 1897, she was united in marriage with Charles Swim at Springfield, Wis. During her early married life she lived at Abbotsford, Wis., Lake Geneva and Cadott, Wis. In later years, after the death of her husband in 1919, she spent most of her time with her daughter, Mrs. Grace Swim, at Thorp and her grand son and grand daughter, Harley Swim and Mrs. A. Kubera.
She leaves to mourn, of the immediate
family, two sons, Carroll Whaples, Arpin, Wis., Earl Whaples,
Cameron, Wis., two daughters, Mrs. Grace Swim Waukesha, Wis., and
Mrs. Pearl Weishoff, Reeseville, Wis., and one sister, Mrs.
Elizabeth Whaples, Monroe, Wis. Rev. Carl Berry conducted funeral
services at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Bogumill Funeral
Home and interment was made in the Ease Thorp Cemetery. Pall
bearers were John Roth, Aug. Stocker, Art Seaman, Jos. Wilcenski,
Chas. Pettit and Mike Kronberg.
